Course Summary

In this course, we will anchor in the role of SpaceHolder — what that means, how to healthfully do it well, and dispelling many common misunderstandings about this extremely important work.

Some of what we will explore includes:

  • The most important skills for anchoring a space

  • Why strong and clear boundaries are a form of love

  • How to lead without intervening

  • The nature of energy in the human body and in the larger reality in which you are living

  • Why skillfully holding space is a foundational tool for anyone in a helping role

  • Energy anatomy and dynamics

  • Energy hygiene for body and space

  • Self-care before, during, and after potent experiences

  • Special considerations for different situations

  • How to hold space for yourself

Our community space on Slack will allow you to connect with others walking the path of energy mastery, share resources, and ask questions between live sessions.

Our 2-hour weekly classes will be live on Zoom, and class recordings will be available to you by Thursday. Because of the nature of energy, the transmission and energetic integration is still available to you through the recording.

Regular office hours on Zoom will be offered to allow you more time to ask questions, troubleshoot specific practices, and deepen the overall learning.

This course also includes supporting materials, such as a weekly curriculum mail, that are meant to support deeper integration of the material.

This course serves as the required foundation for Levels 2—4 of the Energetics for SpaceHolders series.

About the Teacher

With 25 years and many, many lifetimes of experience as an educator, I bring a deep toolbox for activating students into new skills and knowledge. Knowing that every student is a teacher, and every teacher is a student, I create learning spaces that encourage systems thinking, deep inquiry, and individual empowerment.

As a teacher, my goal is to create a space that is safe enough that people can go to brave places within themselves and with each other. I encourage critical thinking and open exploration, and see myself as a facilitator and wayshower, but not the holder of all knowledge and power. I enjoy meeting people where they are and finding the language and metaphors that help complexity feel simple.

My teaching journey began in high school when I spent my summers at the Univeristy of Texas National Institute in Forensics where I combed through international relations journals and read thinkers like Paulo Freire (Pedagogy of the Oppressed) and Michel Foucault (Power/Knowledge). At 19, I began formal teaching by offering writing workshops for 2e middle and high schoolers. I went on to years of personalized curriculum design for students aged 2 to 82, offered immersive art experiences built to educate, and created small learning communities for people in transitional phases of life. I have taught at the graduate and undergraduate levels in the areas of art history, experimentalism, English composition and grammar, marketing communications, collaborative art practice, and Feminist theory.

In offering my workshop Channeling for Purpose and Play, I birthed the pedagogical approach known as The Multidimensional Classroom. Through this whole-body, whole-person approach, I activate students into deeper awareness and ability to work with the fractal nature of reality. To do this work, I draw inspiration from global indigenous traditions, Buddhism(s), and a plethora of extradimensional teaching techniques.

I hold an MFA in Critical Studies and Integrated Media from CalArts and a BA in Writing and Literature from Naropa University. These schools and their championing of experimental, often anticolonial, philosophies have had a huge influence on my teaching. I also come from a family of educators; my grandmother was a kindergarten teacher and my mother is a nursing professor.

About the Teaching Method

The Multidimensional Classroom is a teaching approach based on the idea that we all can learn/teach as expansive, cohesive energy beings – not just limited brains in space-time.

You don’t have to be a reiki master or shaman to learn through his method. All you need is willingness with an open mind, and the space to be present.

Its most basic components are transmission, activation, and integration.

Learning happens in a specifically cultivated energy bubble/realm that invisibly holds the class. This bubble is accessible both during class time and in all the moments between live sessions, and in the future. At the beginning of the course, you will be taught how to enter into our course’s bubble. Don’t worry, it’s almost as easy as imagining a place.

Our class time will involve methods that appear familiar like lecture, visual presentations, and Q+A time. All of these will be encoded with extra layers of energetic information. We will also have somatic moments, energy integration practices, and channeled activations.

Both very optional and strongly suggested homework assignments/practices will be offered to you. When appropriate, some participants may receive extra practices and suggestions that support their unique situation.

Nobody will be grading you, but the more you participate, the more you will get out of this course.

In service of collective healing and in honor of the many generous teachers I’ve been blessed to learn from, I am offering the first cohort of Energetics for SpaceHolders a flexible rate: Participants are invited to pay what they can.

Future runs of the course will likely be offered in the $800-1200 range.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Energetics for SpaceHolders teaches not only the mind, but also the whole multidimensional body. It is part download, part activated remembering. Exposure to the energies of this class will provide each participant with their own unique activations. It is a living portal, which means revisiting the recordings months or years later can open up new transmissions in the expanisve body. This course is not just intellectual information, it is multidimensional technology.

  • Energetics for SpaceHolders (Level 1) has been designed with this question in mind. Not everyone can make a mid-week morning class. Since energy is not bound by space, time, or dimension, the transmissions and activations of this course will work just as well watching the recordings later. For some people, this is actually how they prefer to join asynchronously because they feel the presence of the other live participants a little less. The more energetically sensitive you are, the less difference you’ll notice in watching the recording instead of joining live.

  • The information in this course is a transmission. Imagine it as a braid of energies: one strand from my lifelong study, one strand from my lived experience and witnessing across time and dimensions, and one strand channeled information from the universal field. Woven together, they become more than the sum of their parts. And as with any form of channeling, the energy of the ones receiving the transmission influence what comes through in the channeling.

  • Absolutely! The course is built on a clear curriculum, but the participants influence the transmission specifics. If you are called to take the course over, you will likely open up new layers of understanding and embodied practice. You will also be more practiced in working within the Multidimensional Classroom the second time around. This course sets the foundation for much more complex work in Levels 2-4, which will be released in late 2026 and 2027.
